Hunting it Down.

I am trying to find a job, but it is so hard to do it.

You should see my emails with the number of jobs I have gone for.

This is my cover letter that I’m now sending as I’ve had know luck

I am writing to express my interest in a position at your company. With a strong background in digital marketing, gained through an internship with Edu kit, and extensive experience in caring for my nieces and nephews, I am confident in my ability to contribute effectively to your team.

During my internship at Edu kit, I learned key aspects of creating effective videos and producing content focused on mental health support. This experience has been invaluable in developing my social media skills and my understanding of effective communication. Despite the challenges presented by the lockdown, I was able to adapt and thrive, demonstrating my resilience and dedication.

I am blind and 17 years old (born on 04/01/2008), and I am fully independent in navigating my surroundings with my white cane. My blindness does not hinder my ability to perform tasks effectively, and I am legally allowed to work in the UK. I am proficient in Braille and have adapted well to various technologies to assist in my daily tasks. Using a laptop, I utilize free software to navigate programs effortlessly. I am highly adaptable and can move around a building independently with a brief orientation.

I can work up to 40 hours a week, available on both weekdays and weekends. While I prefer day shifts, I am flexible and can accommodate night shifts if required. I thrive working independently but prefer to collaborate with a team, as I believe it fosters a healthy and efficient work environment. My proactive approach and enthusiasm for learning will make me a valuable addition to your team.

I do not have a DBS check yet, but I am more than willing to undergo the necessary vetting and barring checks required for this role. I am happy to provide references from my internship at Edu kit or from mentors and teachers who can vouch for my skills and work ethic.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to your team.

Yours sincerely,

malachi
